R. PERRY IMES, JR., CIC, LUTCF, Principal Agent – Perry is passionate about helping people protect their financial future, as well as managing crises in their lives, and that is why he chose insurance as a career.  Perry began his insurance career with American Family Mutual Insurance Company in 1994.  In 2008 he became the principal agent and founding partner of Imes Insurance Associates, an independent insurance agency. He is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and completed his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2011. Perry is a native Arizonian who earned his B.S. from Arizona State University in Criminal Justice in 1985 and attended Whittier School of Law in California.  He and his wife, Melinda, have been married for 23 years and have one son, Danny.  He has been active in his church and community since settling in the Phoenix valley in 1980, including serving as a member of the Maricopa County Foster Care Review Board.  Outside his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Perry enjoys the outdoors, motorcycling, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

MELINDA YOUNG-IMES, Business Manager – Melinda joined Perry in 1995, which allowed them to embark on their dream of running a business together.  She brings her love of people, enthusiasm and attention to detail to the agency mix.  While her primary focus is operations, she loves any chance to talk with clients and connect on what’s happening in their lives.  She is currently working on her CISR designation. She is a native of the southern California high desert, but considers Arizona home having lived here since 1974.  She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University, Summa Cum Laude, in 1992.  She has been involved in many volunteer organizations, but is most proud of her work with the American Cancer Society and receiving its Volunteer of the Year award in 2003.  Her favorite pastimes outside spending time with family and friends, are animals of any type (especially her spoiled dogs Taz and Kolby), reading, traveling and short motorcycle rides with Perry. 

LINDA MUNDT, Licensed Account Manager –Linda S. Mundt, CIC, Senior Account Manager: Linda joined the Imes family at the end of October 2011 but by no means is new to the insurance industry. Her career has spanned 40 years beginning with several different positions with Auto Owners Insurance Company in the early 70’s. She transferred to the agency force in 1973 and has worked in agencies ranging from family to corporate owned and it feels good to be back “home” in a family-owned agency. Linda obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2008. Clients and their needs are her number one priority and she hopes to become acquainted with each one that has placed their most valuable assets with Imes Insurance Associates. When she is not attending to the needs of clients, she enjoys bowling and golfing with her husband Bob. She also an avid crafter and reader.

JIM SHEARL, Sales & Marketing – Jim Shearl "Big Jim" joined the Imes team in June 2010 out of his desire to serve others.  Jim enjoys protecting his client’s financial needs and building long lasting relationships. Big Jim is a graduate of Illinois State University where he played football for the ISU Redbirds.  Jim’s main passion in life is his beautiful wife Bryanee and his two awesome children Kari and Killian!  Jim and Braynee enjoy training for triathlons, camping, hiking, NFL football, and spending time with family and friends.  Jim and his wife are also very actively involved with their church, community, and personal growth!
